GREG IN GOOD COMPANY is rock ‘n’ roll full of heart and soul, led by modern-day troubadour Greg Gilman — a fiercely independent spirit who has made a name for himself in the Southern California music scene and beyond through critically acclaimed performances, as well as constantly providing performance opportunities for other artists through Writers ‘Round: Los Angeles.

“Greg in Good Company feels like you've stumbled in on Marcus Mumford wrestling Nathaniel Rateliff in a sawdust-covered bar. It’s a high-octane blend of Americana, country, and rock ‘n’ roll that refuses to be pigeonholed,” wrote Music Connection Magazine in the February 2026 issue. “Greg and his crew aren’t just making noise; they’re documenting the human condition with a relentless, driving beat and undeniable charisma.”

Cinematic melodies paired with heartfelt lyrics and irresistible harmonies have become hallmarks of the band’s unique sound — a mix of alternative rock, folk, country, pop and soul — topped off by Greg’s dynamic and raspy vocals, frequently drawing comparisons to The Lumineers, Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp as well.

No Depression complimented GIGC’s 2018 album American Way for creating “truly powerful and cathartic vibes,” mixing “the the guttural soul musings of Ray LaMontagne with the jubilant psychedelic folk vibes of Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.”

”GIGC’s music is American to the core,” wrote Beats Per Minute while reviewing 2023 single “Home,” which the music blog praised for having “the heart and power of Bruce Springsteen’s best work.”

It’s among the 10 tracks on the band’s 2024 album Quiet Days and Quiet Nights, described by Twangville as “a mighty fine racket.” The LP features previous singles “(Heaven Is) A Moment Here with You,” “Just a Sunset” and “Mulholland at Midnight,” which Nashville music blog Underground Music Collective hailed as “a masterpiece.”

The indie rock band blasted into 2025 with rollicking folk rock single ”Change I Know,” which was added to regular rotation on 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound’s HD3 station Bilingual Sounds and declared by Grimy Goods to be among the best new songs released in January. The song made its commercial radio debut on 95.5 KLOS in September during the Heidi and Frank Show’s “Stay or Go” segment, earning praise from hosts and callers.

“Greg, I love you. I love your voice,” said KLOS personality Heidi Hamilton. “Absolutely, 100 percent stay. It made me feel great.”

GIGC continued building momentum last year with an 8-city summer tour, after which their latest single “Waste My Time” was added to regular rotation on beloved alt-rock independent radio station 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound. They wrapped the year by playing iconic L.A. venue the Troubadour and making their debut on Jam in the Van , which declared, “Greg in Good Company delivers a rapturous live folk show with beautiful lyrics and phenomenal instrumentation.”

2026 kicked off with a highly attended set at The NAMM Show, and more recently, GIGC was added to the lineup of BeachLife Festival — one of the biggest music festivals in Southern California. They will play the Riptide Stage on May 3, the same day as headliners James Taylor, Sheryl Crow and My Morning Jacket.
